✋Remember to always wash your hands! ✋
Getting up close to feed and pet our animals is a highlight for many visitors and we encourage you to join in! Just remember to follow a few simple guidelines.
❌ NEVER feed our animals anything other than animal feed purchased from us - human food can make them very unwell
❌ NEVER eat or drink while in an animal area (this includes feeding babies and children)
✅ ALWAYS wash your hands with soap and water when leaving an animal area, after touching the animals and before eating or drinking
Pregnant Women: Some livestock, especially sheep, goats, and cattle, can carry infections like Toxoplasmosis in birthing fluids. To protect yourself and your baby, it’s best to avoid close contact with these animals.
We recommend pregnant visitors ❌ avoid touching sheep, goats, and cattle, and like everyone else, ✅ wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after visiting animals, before eating, drinking, or touching your face.
These infections are rare, and very few pregnancies are affected. Advice from the Government can be found here, and the NHS here.
