Animals are at the heart of what we do…

Find out more about who you’ll meet on a visit to Cattle Country Farm Park

The Animal Barn

The hub of our animal activities, The Animal Barn should be high on your list of things to do at Cattle Country!

In this area you’ll find:

  • Our smallest residents; the Rabbits and Guinea pigs

  • Animals that have recently given birth, and their adorable babies

  • The youngest members of our cattle herd and their automatic milk machine

The Farm Trail

Tractor Trailer Tours

Hop aboard and take a tour around the farm!

Our team take you out into the working farm, explaining what we do as farmers and introducing you to some of our most impressive residents.

See the beef cattle in our farmyard and our rare breed cows (often with calves) out in the fields.

Remember to book this activity at The Gift Shop!

Please note: As we are a working farm, there are some days that this activity is unable to run

Returns Saturday 12th April 2025 (start of the Easter holidays).

All of these activities are seasonal and close for a short time in winter. Please check out ‘What’s On Now’ page for details of what you can expect during your visit.

Always wash your hands!

The chance to get up close, touch and feed the animals that we keep is a very popular part of a day out to the Farm Park and we encourage our visitors to get stuck in!

It is however, very important that you follow a few simple guidelines to make sure that both you and the animals are kept healthy and well:

❌ NEVER feed our animals anything other than animal feed purchased from us - human food can make them very unwell

❌ NEVER eat or drink while in an animal area (this includes feeding babies and children)

ALWAYS wash your hands with soap and water when leaving an animal area, after touching the animals and before eating or drinking

Pregnant Women and Farm Visits: Infectious organisms (such as Toxoplasmosis) can be found in the birthing fluids of some livestock, particularly sheep, goats and cattle.

In order to protect their own health and that of their unborn child, women who are, or who may be pregnant, are advised to avoid close contact with livestock (for example handing new-born lambs, assisting in the birth of lambs or handling contaminated clothing).

Please rest assured that these infections are uncommon, and the number of pregnancies affected is extremely small. Advice from the Government can be found here, and the NHS here.

We recommend that pregnant women ❌ avoid touching our sheep, goats and cattle, and like all visitors, ✅ ensure they are washing their hands thoroughly with soap and water when they leave and animal contact area, before touching their faces and before eating or drinking.

We always recommend regular hand washing for all of our visitors.
